No, that wasn’t a reference to Haddington, though it was a bit on the tough side. The reference was to the Devil O’ the Highlands, the 43 miler Ian Rowland did on Saturday, starting at 6:00 am at Tyndrum, heading to Fort William. Ian came 8th out of 96 finishers with a time of 6:39:11. So Ian was well finished by the time the runners were setting off for the Haddington Half Marathon – Stuart Hay came 7th overall, taking the prize for first East Lothian male, with a time of 1:20:53, Richard Taylor finished in 1:29:03, with Rhona Anderson once again, running in brilliant form finishing in 1:31:39. That gave Rhona the prize for 1st female vet as well as first East Lothian female. Also running were Steve Pattison, Neil Jones, Anne Hay, Mary Pattison, Brian Davidson, Sheila Morrison and Val Herring. Dunbar also won the prize for first ladies team. Well done everyone.
