On Sunday, three members of Dunbar Running Club took part in the popular Inverness Half Marathon. The conditions on the day were fairly good, with an earlier downpour giving way to sunshine for the start, with just a small shower during the course of the race. Stuart Hay achieved a personal best at the distance, finishing in 19th place out of 1126 finishers, with a time of 1:18:36. Ian Rowland finished 22nd in 1:19:55 and Anne Hay 355th in 1:42:48.
The previous Sunday, Sheila Morrison travelled to Arbroath to run the "Smokies Ladies 10 Mile", a course which included some climbs to add to the challenge, finishing in a creditable 94 minutes and 11 seconds. A race to be recommended for it’s great atmosphere.
